A finance educator who has sat on both sides of the desk.
An educator, former equity research analyst and wealth manager, now teaching analysts, wealth managers and students from diverse backgrounds — from the world's largest financial institutions to individuals starting out.
Rahul Agarwal is an educator with 10+ years in financial services and 7+ years teaching, and a consultant at AnalystPrep. He delivers technical training across the GCC and India for institutional clients, global custody banks, sovereign wealth funds, business schools and individual candidates.
His teaching centres on the disciplines that matter most on a real desk: financial statement analysis, equity and fixed income valuation, financial modelling, derivatives, and portfolio management. He designs and delivers full-length CFA programmes and analyst-development tracks for sovereign funds, global banks and asset managers.
“Always go the extra mile — like knowledge, effort compounds into something far bigger over time.”Rahul Agarwal
From the desk to the classroom
Before teaching full-time, Rahul worked as an equity research analyst (BFSI), authoring sectoral and stock-specific research and contributing to the RBI bi-monthly monetary policy report, and as a wealth manager managing HNI and UHNI portfolios, investment planning and tax advisory. That practitioner background is why his sessions stay grounded in how valuation, risk and markets actually behave, rather than in exam formulas alone.
Who he trains
Across programmes, Rahul has taught 5,000+ students and professionals in total. He has trained teams at BNY, a top global custodian bank, on treasury management, liquidity solutions and financial market operations; delivered certification-programme preparation for one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds with a 100% candidate pass rate in 2025; and taught for a government finance department in the GCC. In India he is visiting faculty at IMT Nagpur (Investment Banking programme) and Great Lakes, Chennai (FSAV), and has trained teams at HDFC Bank, ICICI Securities, SBI and Edelweiss Mutual Funds, and Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC.
